i was told by someone to do it 2 weeks before the interview? i plan on having my fiance do that

It is advisable to do it at least week after the end of her last period and at least a week before her interview, and to abstain from having sex during that time from her last period to the medical. Otherwise, you face possible problems and delays.

Thanks! Why a week before the interview and not earlier? Doesn't it take a week to et there and we then run the chance of getting a 221g for missing medical records if the consulate didn't get it yet ?

No sex is easy I'm 15000 miles away and won't be there for the interview.

And a week after period makes sense. Thanks for the input

She can have her medical if she have her period but she has to go back again after a week for her physical examination and urine test.

...I had my medical 5 days after the last day of my period...and 12 days (including 2 weekends) before my US embassy Manila interview.

....i would strongly recommend that she have her medical at least 5 days before or after her period to have the medical so she would finish it in a day or two, no need to come back after the period.

Yes she can do medical even she got her period but not on physical examination. Me and my daughter had medical first week of July. First day we had our physical exam and when we came back on the 3rd day she got her period. I thought they will not give her vaccines but doctor said its ok as long she not have her period during physical exam. Then they gave 6 shots for my daughter, 2 in each arms and 1 in each legs.

It says on the embassy letter to go at least a week prior to the interview.
