Hi everyone recently am using a lawyer to apply for my green card but its seems like my lawyer is just acting up. we had finalized everything with him on July 8th and he said he will send the applications either the same day or the next day which is the 9th. its July 20th i haven't heard anything from the USCIS or even a simple letter nothing. i even called Western union to find out if the money order been cashed already but it's hasn't, so now i don't even know if he send them or he just lying to me. Now am thinking of going to go get my staff from him and maybe apply by myself but i don't know the process. so any help am an F-1 student married to a US citizen. thank you

It's possible that they haven't opened the letter at USCIS yet, though you should hear soon. Is there other reasons you don't trust the lawyer? Did you ask them for a mail receipt?

from what i saw during putting together all my papers with him. he forget things often don't know if he's just too busy or just easy to forget things. from searching tru internet looking at everyone cases its looks like the acceptance letter don't even take this long to come. so today i decided to call western union to find out if the money order been cashed already but its hasn't been cashed. isn't it the uscis people soon as they get your application they suppose to cash the money orders ? so it's either he hasn't send them or he's just lying to me.

It should not take longer than two weeks from sending so yes, you should have gotten it or get it very soon. I'd call the atty on Monday and ask for the actual date he sent it, and does he have a mailing receipt.
