I was one of the filers who got approved without receiving any electronic notifications such as email/text/website, however I received an approval thru a tier 2 representative. Problem is its been 2 weeks now since my approval date and still no hard copy of NOA2 in mail. Should I be worried? Is the tier 2 rep lying about my case which is not actually approved? What should I do? I know hard copies were usually received wihtin a week. Damn this is so stressful and depressing. I need to take a vacation asap.

There really is so many possibilities of how this could happen. If I were you I'd do two things, neither of which can be done before Monday....First I'd call NVC since it's been 2 weeks since your approval and see if by chance they'd received your case. If they have, then you can rest a little easier knowing you were in fact approved. If they haven't, don't get too worked up, sometimes it takes a little bit, so it's not for sure going to be there yet even if you were approved, but it's a good starting point. Next, I'd call USCIS and ask to speak to a tier 2 again. This time don't ask them if you are approved, but tell them that you have not received our hard copy and are concerned it may have gotten lost or sent to the wrong address and have them check for you and possibly re-send it.

Hopefully it's just being slow in the mail and you get it over the weekend though.

It can take as long as 30 days to receive hard copy. Did you ever go to the uscis.gov website and register your receipt number? Thats how you get email an text notification of your petition. I would do it know so you can see for yourself the approval. i sure wouldn't take a verbal over the phone

It would behoove you to get a hardcopy NOA2 at some point. You will need it later on in your immigration journey, specifically, at the AOS process. To get a replacement NOA2 hardcopy will cost you in excess of $400.

Suggest that you write AND call USCIS, explaining your circumstances, until you get your Form I-797 petition approval (NOA2).

Good luck.

Okays thanks for all the responses.Your all very helpful. I will call as soon as I wake up this monday morning and request tier 2 to send the NOA2 immediately. By the way I am registered in the USCIS website and I even attach the G-325 whatever form for notifications in my file. the last notification I receive was when I was transfered to TSC from VSC. Usually I hate mondays but now I cant wait for this new week to come.lol

if it's at TSC, why to call on Monday?

TSC is slow for issuing the paper,

and you'd know that,

if'n you were reading stuff in the K-1 forum and progress reports sub-forum.

Does anyone else find that exorbitant and ridiculous? That's more expensive than the fee you paid to get the NOA2 the first time around. What on earth could possibly be the justification for this?

I have the exact same issue as you--my online status at the point still shows "initial review" I called on 7/16 and a Tier 2 rep confirmed it was approved on 7/6/13--I was a little hesitant and called again and was reassured it was in fact approved. The NOA2 can take up to 30 days to be received and I was advised that if I do not receive the NOA2 bu 8/5/13 that I can request another.

Hopefully we will receive ours soon. I am leaving for Barbados to see my fiance next week and I really wanted to travel with the NOA2 to give to him rather than mailing..does suck but hey we were approved--so something to smile about dancin5hr.gif

Hi Ashley,

Don't wait 30 days until you ask for request!!! This morning around 10am I called USCIS and immediately ask for tier 2 representative, the lady tier 1 rep was very nice and polite but she ask me why and what's supposed to be the problem. So then I explained to her that I havent received my NOA2 hard copy yet and I was approved last july 8. She then suggest to place a service request herself instead of me waiting on the phone for the tier 2 representative. So I said ok and I ask her if this will go to the Service Center and she said yes. Also on her screen my status was still in Initial Review and I ask her why and she said the center was probably too busy with the approvals that they were not able to update it. Anyway she believed me when I said I was approved and then she ask me for all my information needed for the service request. Overall I think she was the nicest USCIS rep I have ever talk to, like she really love her job as a customer support representative. So did I make the right decision of letting her do the Service Request instead of waiting for the tier 2 representative to assist me? Because base from the comments Ive been reading from VJ members ,they dont really a trust tier 1 rep especially the information they give.
