Worried and Anxious

I don't know why but I am getting worried and anxious. Why is it taking forever for Texas to approve us or give us our RFE while I see April filers getting approved here and there. I'm getting very impatient with this process. Why does it take long to do a BACKGROUND CHECK? My stepdad works for the Department of Homeland Security and we get background checked frequently.. so why would it take forever to do that?

I'm sorry for ranting, it's just frustrating..

There are a lot of people from February and even January who are still waiting for their approvals. I understand your frustration (especially with a few April filers getting approved, which really seems unfair), but you have only been waiting for less than 4 months, so it really isn't that long in the grand scheme of things. A couple of months ago, people were waiting 7-10 months for their NOA2's, right now the waiting time is a lot less, so you're pretty lucky.

My guess is that you will hear from USCIS within the next few weeks. Try to relax, get the documents ready for the consulate, and be looking forward to the time when you and your fiancé will be together without having to say good-bye at the airport anymore.

It's just really frustrating especially because we have a child together that he hasn't seen and our son is turning two next month. Besides that, it really is hard to be away.. I can't bear any longer, nor do I think I can do this again that's why I'm hoping for an approval.
