How can a June get approved, this process is really bullshit, where's the order? Is it because they take K1s without K2s attached to them? So since my fiancee has kids we get looked over. Bullshit I wanna get her boys in school here when it starts and we as march filers are just being looked over and more and more aprils being approved. My girl won't wanna come here cause ill be in the nut house by the time they get to us. I don't wanna hear good luck anymore I wanna hear congrats.. sorry but I'm very mad at this process, I paid my money just like everyone else and they need to go in order.

Some of what I've heard is that if an application has something requiring a longer look, research, questions, etc.... then other applications requiring less action are still processed while that application is waiting to be dealt with.

So maybe it's not fair for the other applications to get processed ahead of you, but then neither would it be fair for the other applications to be held up because yours might be demanding a longer, harder look.

It took us about 7 months from filing to NOA2, and we just had a K1. And almost another month after our NOA2 before the consulate received the paperwork.

Patience, you'll need lots of it to get through this.

Bob is right.

Also depends on who's desk your application ends up on, it's not ONE PERSON handling all applications. Maybe some of them get through the applications faster than others. Maybe there's something that requires a harder look at yours (the k2s perhaps). Perhaps it ended up on a desk where say the case worker moved on, or has something goin on in their lives and can't concentrate as well, or went on vacation, or so on.

This isn't an overnight process. Deep breath. It's not "fair", but welcome to life. Nothing is "fair". And you are dealing with government entities and red tape.

This whole process tries your patience. You will drive yourselves mad if you keep comparing yourselves to other people's timelines. It is not fair that other people's cases get seen before yours when their NOA1 date is after yours but life isn't always fair.

It took 9 months between our NOA1 and NOA2 dates - just be glad that the USCIS seem to be working quicker that it was when we were going through this (NOA2 date was 18 April 2013).
