Hello, all!

I've got recently an I-485 form and have several questions.

1) They are asking for the joint sponsor's proof of self-employment. (The joint sponsor is my father). It says that it could be a letter on a business letterhead, or a business license. My dad has a very small business and they don't have a stationary with their own letterhead and the business license doesn't state his name on it, but the name of his partner.

I made a copy of a blank check with their company name and his name on it, as well. Will this work as a proof, or I will need something else? What else can be a proof of his self-employment?

2) Please, help me to interprent the following statement from the I-485:

"W-2s, 1099s, and/or all schedules submitted to the IRS-a copy of his/her Federal income tax return was submitted and/or the sponsor or joint sponsor requested an extension to file his or her Federal income tax return."

What does that mean? I submitted all my tax returns and W2s with the initial application. I am confused. Please, help!

Thank you very much.

Alexa,

2) Did you submit your dad's tax returns? His tax returns would also address item #1.
