So we we got approved 11th July .as I've seen alot of people receive their case number a week after.we left it 8 days and called nvc.they asked for our receipt number and then said they hadn't received our file yet.which is fine it's only been 8 days and I understand uscis don't send them out right away as they wait til they have enough files to send in bulk.but the lady who I spoke to at nvc (who was very friendly and alot more helpful then people at uscis)told me it could take uscis up to 8 weeks to send it to nvc.I really can't understand why csc need to hold on to a approved file for that long .I was so excited when we got our noa 2 .and now just feel a little disheartened that there could still be a long wait ahead

It' won't take too long. I am January 16th CSC filer, I got NOA2 on Jun 26th, and I got case number on Jul 8th.

I received packet 3 yesterday.

I think you will get a case number next week. So call NVC again.

Hope you get the case number soon. Good luck!

I feel your pain. We got approved on May 24th and the NVC still does not have a case number for us. Good Luck to you hope we both hear something soon.

Okay your path is different then the OP's to NVC. Can I ask when you called NVC did they say your case has arrived? have you been following up on that? Cuz i know thats been an issue petitions taking months to even get there. Since May 24th thats crazy.

Monday you need to be calling to find out exactly where your petition is. Did you do a nvcinquiry to find out yet. What have you done thus far?

That's what they always say; 8 weeks. You need to keep calling everyday but more email inquiries will do. Our case was shipped to the NVC on July 16 and had our case number July 19, just three days after. Our NOA2 was June 21. Hope this info helps

We got our letter from the UK Consulate in just under the four week mark after NOA2 so I wouldn't be calling them out for 8 weeks just yet. I don't how much of that was CSC>NVC>London and how much London>Me but at 9 days I'd hang on for a while longer chasing it . I didn't chase NVC as I knew this was a reasonable time-scale and due to me having certain commitments in the UK I wasn't going to try to push but YMMV of course.

Several years ago, there was a time that CSC didn't send their cases immediately to NVC. People speculated they waited to get a big load. Vermont sent ours in a matter of days. Then everything kinda straightened out again at CSC. Is this a pattern happening at CSC again to everybody? Or do you think yours got stuck somewhere by itself?

Hi Guys !

Would u tell me the average time of Administrative Processing ? I was interviewed on 29th January 2013. The status of my case on CEAC is showing as No Status. I sent 2 e-mails regarding this confusing NO STATUS. They replied its underprocess and cant predict exact time.

Would u guide me why my case is showing NO STATUS. and how much time it can take ? Its 6th month continued to wait for a Non Immigrant Visa helpsmilie.gif

Suggest you call USCIS and speak to a level 2 IO if NVC hasn't received the file after 15 business days. You need to speak to a level 2 (I spoke to the next level up) - they will be able to tell where the file is located. A regular CSR doesn't seem to have that information. We are CR-1 - it seems like these take longer.

I have no way of objectively determining how often these delays occur, all I know (and what really matters) is our NOA2 was May 29th and our file has been languishing in the LA field office ever since.

I've posted about this quite a bit in the alst week. We were also approved July 11th and through CSC and NVC also tell us it hasn't arrived and that it takes 8 weeks.

The 8 weeks thing for next to all CSC'ers is garbage. They for some reason don't know what they are talking about.

However, it has ranged from 4 days to a month to get it(rough average). Also, through some digging I discovered they typically get bulk loads on Monday and Tuesday of cases at NVC.

Since ours was approved on a Thursday, and a couple people approved the day or two before have already gotten their numbers I believe we missed the cut off for mailing the next week(which would have arrived at NVC on the 15th and 16th. Which if the pattern is actually a pattern and not a fluke, ours may very well arrive tomorrow or the next day, and getting a case number is very quick once they get it, provided there are no other issues with the file.

I'm hopeful for next week. smile.png
