Filing for an ROC after divorce: What happened next? (corrected from 'AOS')

You cannot file for AoS after divorce if you intend to apply for a marriage-based green card as the former spouse of a US citizen or LPR.

The purpose of those green cards is for family reunification; if there is no family to reunify (due to divorce) then your reason for requesting the green card is moot.

Did you mean ROC (Removal of Conditions) maybe, after 2 years on a conditional greencard?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

I've seen many people getting approved with a waiver (I'm not one of them), but they had to prove they were not married for green card. You have to send all the evidence that you tried to have a good marriage that both of you tried to do things together. bank statements, house insurance, car insurance, life insurance, utility bills... ( all with both names if possible) Good luck buddy.

Note: when you apply based on marriage and you divorce before you get the green card, you will not get it because there will be no good purpose for USCIS to give you one. ROC is different, you already have one but they want to see who one got married for green card who didn't.
