 That was funny to read.

Everyone thinks Canadians live in Igloos.

People in the South think that I have froze my entire life living there.

We have beautiful weather in Nova Scotia

Amen sister!!!! :thumbs::yes:

My mom was laughing at me today, she found a buttercup yesterday and I'm staring out the window at about 6 inches of snow and ice :P

That temperature post is very funny! :D

We're sitting here in Saskatoon laughing at British Columbians who are freaking with a few inches of snow. We've had 2 feet in the last week and while it's pretty, at night, when the wind is down and the stars are out....it's HORRIBLE shovelling it!!! The banks on the side of the driveway are already 5 feet tall! Where are we supposed to put it now??

haha My last Saskatchewan winter...*sigh*

My parents are in Saskatoon and enjoy the snow!! I prefer it cold. One can always put on more clothes when its cold, can takes off only soo much when its hot!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

It was a funny post. However, we have usually mild winters here and no one seems to mind when it gets cold except for me. No one can believe I'm actually from Canada. Even in the summer I'll wear sweaters to work. I'm sorry anything under 70 degrees and I'll be feezing. Then again, I also hike in the desert in the summers with my jeans and black shirt in temps above 100 and I'm fine (my friends and wife really do believe I'm not from this planet ha ha)...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

I dress up in summer and down in winter. It all has to do with work conditions, in the summer you or at least I freeze because of the air conditioning and in winter with the heat turned up it gets to be too much. So if ever you’re in Ottawa and I'm still here wave to the nut in short sleeves having a smoke in temperature that freezes exposed skin in less than three minutes.

P.S. In warmer weather I smoke king size and in winter's colder temps I go back to the regular smokes

I agree Peggy! I so miss being in the Pubnicos. I miss NS...period!

My kids at school think Canada is all snowy all the time...lol...it's so funny to tell them that things aren't that different up there than they are here....except for a few food items. "You mean they have McDonald's up there too???" is one question my kids asked a lot at first. LOL....kids say the darnedest things, eh?
