He was killed for fighting with GZ, the folks that don't like him use his past to smear him. They refuse to see he was walking home from the store, not committing a crime.

Yeah Marvin but there is some glorification of TM on the other side. He wasn't an angel. They use his school picture from like 3 years back for a reason. A more recent picture would be more appropriate. They make it look like a 12 year old was killed.

We've accepted it, what we are saying is you refuse to see he was doing nothing but walking home, was he breaking into a house? Was he assaulting someone other than the man stalking him? You're trying to justify his killing when even the police said there were no criminal activity he was doing at the time.

If we are going to crucify people for their past, then everyone is guilty.

He committed a criminal activity before he was shot. That is without dispute .Aggravated Battery is a crime.Fact

Walking home from the store--Not a crime

Following someone -Not a crime

Taking care of creepy cracker means he had a planned intention to commit a hate crime on a non-black person because of his race.

Can they charge TM with a hate crime posthumously ?

exactly

We have peered into every crook and crevice of GZ life and tried to exploit them to show a pattern of behavior

Only fair to do the same to TM

They can certainly change "he was innocently walking home with a soda and bag of skittles minding his own business" to "he was killed during the red-handed active commission of a hate crime" posthumously.

"Killed during the commission of a hate crime" fits on a headstone. Perhaps he can go down in history with like say the Klan or Nazis or others who commit hate crimes. He certainly does not belong with those who represent the struggle for civil rights.

He was killed sitting on top of someone beating him up. While he may or may not have deserved to be killed is irrelevant. The person who killed him ALSO did not deserve to be convicted for it. Welcome to America where you're on your own if you decide to jump on and assault a stranger and you do not garner pity if you are a dope smoking burglar who had your crimes excused because of your race.

On the other hand who the hell would hate a pitiful, helpless effeminate Frenchman? What a waste of time! Much American blood has been spilled keeping the French out of the hands of the Germans or the Russians or anyone else who would look over in envy at their perfume and champagne factories.

Speaking of racism how many white mobs have formed and randomly attacked black people because of their since the verdict?

Thanks for confirming my suspicions about you, mon cheri!

This is a delusional statement.

This case was a tragedy. No one ever deserves to die. Martin was no "thug", he wasn't clean and he certainly had his problems. Likewise, Zimmerman is flawed. Its a part of being human and yet he doesn't seem racist. These men both made poor decisions that the night and a life was lost.

Whilst its clear that law enforcement still favor white people over black people (think stop and frisk for a moment) and there is a cause that must still be championed for equal rights in this nation, its also a Tragedy that this case is being used to try and further it as there are no clear cut signs of racism. Its a shame that so many can not look at the facts of the case before using it in their cause. By doing so they polarize the issue and poison their cause. There are many clear cut hate crimes out their involving racism that should be used instead. Unfortunately a few high profile celebrities latched onto this case without reviewing it in detail.

That being said, I am glad that Obama made his final speech on the issue as its the right tone to take from here onward.
