Sybrina Fulton: ‘George Zimmerman has Trayvon’s Innocent Blood on his Hands’

It has been 1 year, 4 months and 23 days since Trayvon Martin was ripped out of the lives of his parents’ Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin at the hands of George Zimmerman.

Ms. Fulton and the family’s attorney Ben Crump joined Roland Martin almost a week after the non-guilty verdict to discuss the impact of her son’s death on society, give her feelings about the Zimmerman verdict and she lets us know what needs to be done to make sure something like this doesn’t happen to other families.

It's amazing; the strength and composure Mrs. Fulton and Mr. Martin show when they speak publicly. I don't care what anyone says. These are good people. And their son was no thug, no burglar as the racists would claim. Hats off to this family. And my thoughts and my respect are with them. Mrs. Fulton is correct. We're at the point where people just can't take it anymore. The blood and the murders and the legalized crime. It's got to stop.

Agree! I was also very pleased to hear the President called the Trayvon family personally, in addition to mentioning them in his speech today.

My hat goes off to this family, as they have to continue to listen to these bigots and racists go on and on.....

Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described silver wedding bands and earrings with diamonds.

Trayvon was asked if the jewelry belonged to his family or a girlfriend.

“Martin replied it’s not mine. A friend gave it to me,” he responded, according to the report. Trayvon declined to name the friend.

Trayvon was not disciplined because of the discovery, but was instead suspended for graffiti, according to the report. School police impounded the jewelry and sent photos of the items to detectives at Miami-Dade police for further investigation.

A lawyer for the dead teen’s family acknowledged Trayvon had been suspended for graffiti, but said the family knew nothing about the jewelry and the screwdriver.

That suspension was followed four months later by another one in February, in which Trayvon was caught with an empty plastic bag with traces of marijuana in it. A schools police report obtained by The Miami Herald specifies two items: a bag with marijuana residue and a “marijuana pipe.”

The punishment was the third for the teen. On Monday, the family also said Trayvon had earlier been suspended for tardiness and truancy.

It is not "racists" who portray him as a dope-smoking burglar. He is portrayed as a dope-smoking burglar because he was caught with a dope pipe and empty dope bags after he was caught with a backpack with a dozen pieces of jewelry that did not belong to him. You are right, it is time to stop dope-smoking burglars from attacking innocent people on the street and if the police and legal system and parents cannot do it then it is no use rattling sabers for their rights to freely do it after they get killed for it.

NOTE: If he was a white dope-smoking burglar (1) nobody would care if he got killed in the middle of attacking someone and (2) the president wouldn't be making any calls for him either.
