New I-129F form different

So I went to the USCIS website to download the I-129F and found it is a new form that looks slightly different (expires 6/30/2016). The first question I have, is why is the phone number on page 4 (item #30) only have enough spaces for an American telephone now?? How should I enter my foreign fiances number with country code? A lot of you might not be able to see the new one if you have visited the link below recently because the original may still be saved by your browser. You need to use a different browser or clear your temporary files.

Yeah, that looks a lot different. One thing I noticed, too, is how much clearer the old question 18 is now (now question 34 and 34a).

Wow they have made quite a few changes on there.

As for the phone number bit, that is just plain silly. It should just be a long blank box that allows you to type in whatever you need. Whoever made that up wasn't thinking very well. If it were me I'd probably fill in the rest of the form, leave that blank, then just hand write the number beneath the boxes before signing it and sending it in.

I found this on the USCIS website: "The current edition is dated 06/13/13. (USCIS will accept editions dated 06/22/12, 11/23/10, 06/14/10, and 02/19/10 until September 16, 2013. After September 16, 2013, we will only accept the 06/13/13 edition.)"

They need to accept it before then, as in you can send in the older version now and they will accept it. It does not have to be approved before that date. If you are truly that worried about it, why not fill out a new form?

Quite silly to design the section for the foreign fiance(e)'s info with data entry for a US-based number only. I have noticed similar design flaws throughout all the new forms being released lately.

You are correct. I overlooked that post and saw the one where they asked if they sent it now would it be denied.

The current edition is 06/13/13. It is listed on the bottom left of all the pages. The expiration date is at the top right of the form and it is 06/23/2016. It is the edition date that matters, not the expiration date.

This new I-129F is horrible. It has so many mistakes and is unclear in many places. For instance, why does it only allow me to choose U.S. states when entering my Alien Fiancee's mailing address?! Whoever done this form obviously did not take the time to TEST the form for usability before putting it out there. Many fields are not long enough and many sections are not clear where they end and the new one begins (e.g. fiancée's prior spouse 2). I'll have to write in some areas instead of type.

What is "In Care of Name"?

I wish there is an example of this new form.

If the form is bad (sounds fairly bad) then I suggest filing a complaint to the powers that be.

Also, you do not have to type the form, you can write it by hand, all or part of it.

I think that's probably not the best person to call. Those people are sub-contracted employees who read from a script and they can't do anything. Maybe the USCIS ombudsman is better. There is a feedback link on the USCIS page but it for when they ask for feedback on specific things.

Anyone have a better ides who to make a formal complaint about this oversight?
