Can anyone help??

My fiance posted the I134 (registered). But it has been lost in the post. My Interview at the London Embassy is Tuesday.

I spoke to them and they have said to still go but it will delay the issue of the Visa till they receive the paperwork.

Anyone been in my shoes?

Anyone know a quick way of sending mail from US to England?

:crying:

Why would you say something like that? Yes, I'm pointing you out! If you've not good things to say, don't say them.

Is it difficult for you to reply with a normal and positive answer? If not, don't even speak. What's the point of putting people down for a legitimate question? Make yourself feel good, that you know everything?

Be nice! And don't be slamming me for saying this, you both had it coming. I've seen the same types of responses from you in the past. Take the scolding as childish, whatever, but grow up a little bit.

Your posts were totally unnecessary!

P.S. – I like you both; you usually have some good information. But you both know better than this. And don't tell me these replies were fun and not harmful. Look at the poster's reply.

Yes, I had to ask that. IT'S THE FREAKING MAIL, not rocket science! If you have to ask HOW TO MAIL ABROAD, how do you even carry on an international relationship?

I'm all for helping, but I will NOT sit & watch (a USC, w/ an English speaking fiance, no less!) ask how to mail things!!! A person shouldn't be considering doing something as HUGE as marriage if they don't know how to use the USPS/FedEx/DHL...

Why would you say something like that?

Because I find it seriously impossible to believe that the OP is not aware of the many options for mailing documents internationally.

Like D, I'm all for helping to provide valuable information. But I am not here to spoon feed basic information on how to exist in everyday life. Come on - if the OP truly cannot figure out how to mail something internationally without the help of an internet message board, he's got bigger things to worry about.

we all ask obvious questions at some point in our lives, and we can just answer it without acting like they are stupid. Just cuz it seems obvious to know the best way to send something via mail, that's fine then answer the best way, the cheapest way, or something more helpful if you can see that the person hasn't had experience using express service.

Fed ex , in my opinion is super expensive, ups is usually cheaper than fed ex...just plain registered mail via USPS will take ages, and i've never done international express with the USPS but they are very good in delivering domestic over night express so i would assume their international service is just as good. never dealt with DHL, if i were u, i would just give them all a call, get their rates and then just decide among them, i like to go with the ones that guarantee a refund if it's not there on time.

K , hope everything works out for you and your fiance.

The OP here is quite obviously not the USC fiance, they are the foreign fiance, they have their interview coming up after the weekend, and they are clearly stressed, worried and in a panic about everything going wrong because they might not have the I-134 in time. I'd guess the 'stupid' question is not seriously an indication that they're incapable of mastering the postal system, but more a post made in the hopes of getting some support/sympathy/reassurance, a post to have a vent to people who are supposedly in the same boat, before they (or rather the USC fiance who needs to send the form) go about getting it sorted.

Bet they wish they hadn't bothered now, though. :(

in 05 when i applied for PK visa, the consulate chicago sent my passport with visa inside and my original marriage certificate via usps and it was lost in the mail for 4 days, the usps couldn't find it and it was like it vanished off the face of the earth, then like out of no where it arrived !? , well, that's about as close to being in your shoes as i've gotten.

Hope everything works out

Hi Verna & Mark',

I saw all the posts and I don't want to get into that pile of egos. You can use FedEx, UPS, DHL or The Post Office's International Global Service. They are all easy. Find the one most convienent to you. Make sure you have the ability to track the package online. I'm sure they all have that. The Consulate will perform the Interview and review all the docs that can be submitted. Then, the Consulate will probably grant the Visa, "pending" their receiving the notarized I-134. So you'll have a very short delay getting the Visa, but you will get it. Don't panic. Hang in there.

Good luck
