Why no NOA2 for I-130 before AOS interview?

Hi there,

I am adjusting my F-1 status to permanent residency status based on marriage to an US citizen.

I was wondering if we were supposed to get NOA2 for I-130 that my husband filed. Or is NOA2 only for other categories?

Our interview is already scheduled on August 6th this year. I got EAD this month. Our I-130 status is still at "initial review" according to the website. I thought I-130 was supposed to be approved before going on to AOS interview. Am I wrong? If I'm not, is this a bad sign that I-130 is not approved yet? Do they want to question our I-130 at the interview??

You are wrong. Both your I-130 and I-485 are decided at the interview.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Thank you for your answer! That makes me feel better. So nobody received AOS 2 before an interview or do some people receive it before an interview if it was in a different catergory? Just curious. Anyways, I'm glad nothing is wrong with our case!
