I just got the email/text message notifiying me that my I-129F was approved. Best of all no RFE. They accepted and fast. Thanks Visa Journey for all the help. Will continue to use all the good information on here for the rest of my Fiance's journey all the way to Citizenship/Naturalization. smile.png

It took 94 days for me to go from NOA1 to NOA2. I applied to the CSC and was very thorough on all the required documentation. My fiance is from India and will be interviewing at the Chennai consulate. Provided more than was needed and multiple sources of evidence for each point. Preparing to send the updated copy of my Affadavit of Support and copy of all the forms sent for I-129F to my fiance. I am guessing if nothing else delays the process then she should have her intreview by October 2013. Thanksgiving Weekend Wedding would be perfect, I will be thanking Visa Journey that day for sure. smile.png

Here is some of my secret sauce. I am not sure if any of this helped but just thought I would put it out there for future applicants.

1. Use some sort of PDF editor to type all your forms. Even stuff that doesn't fit can be adjusted in there. Don't handwrite. Clear and concise. Let that be your motto.

2. If you have an Alien # from a previous process for your own visa application process then put that in there so that they can look you up in their system and look at your old file. I know they added my Alien # to my file as I got an update from them about it. I know they do backround check on you but I also am pretty sure examiner can look up anybody in the system. If you include your number they can be sure to pull you up and fast. I don't know if this helped but can't hurt unless you have something to hide in which case they are going to find out anyways.

3. Use the cover letter provided on Visa Journey. Make sure to include a list of evidence for every point.

4. For each thing you have to prove include multiple sources of evidence. For example I included my travel iternary, photographs of engagment ceremony and included multiple copies of my passport page with entry/exit stamps to prove that I visited India. For proof of citizneship I included both the Naturalization certificate and full xerox copy of my passport. For constant contact I included more than 50 emails printed from gmail with enough detail to make sure it looked authentic and records of phone calls made through Vonnage going back 4 months. Even though they don't ask for affadavit of support for I-129F, I know from reading Visa Journey they accept it at this stage. So I made sure to include a detailed affadavit of support. It had every single penny I owned, including my 401k, every bank account and also my brokerage account. Then on top of that I inculded my IRS transcript for tax of 2011 and every single pay stub I had recieved in 2012 and 2013 up till the very last one I had received a week ago. I also noted on the affadavit of support that I had full health insurance and benefits from my work that I was going to make my fiance a beneficiary of as soon as we got married. When I send the updated affadavit of support, I will get a transcript of my 2011, 2012 taxes and every single pay stub that I recieved in 2013. And an updated copy of my income records as before. I am also planning to include a affadavit of support from my parents and of course my fiance will also include her income information as well.

5. Check and re-check every single form you fill. No mistakes is equal to NO RFE or corrections which is equal to no delays.

6. I got lucky as I noticed that during the time I applied CSC shifted applications from their office to Vermont and Texas. Consquently CSC are now ahead of those centers.

That's it and I hope to report back once my fiance gets her visa. Will update the interview at Chennai and what extra documents she needed. She is concerned about the immunization and health checkup but I think that will be the easisest of it. I think mostly she should be concerned about taking the correct birth certificate document, criminal check and affdavit of support information.

Best of luck to all to all!! smile.png
