Hi All

I am sure this has been discussed before but unfortunately I cannot find it!

I am doing a concurrent filling of I-130 and 1-485 for my parents who are here in the US on tourist visa. I am having an issue with the I864 Part 3 ; I will file 2 separate I864 for each parent and so should I just say Yes in section 1 "I am sponsoring the principle immigrant named in Part 2" and end there and not have the other parent mentioned in section 2a?

If this is the case where do I add the other parent so they will be included in the total household number?

Thank you very much

Yes, you check Yes for #1 and you do not list the other parent in #2. It states there on the form not to include a relative that is listed on a separate visa petition.

As far as I can tell, you do not list the other parent in the household count either. The instructions state not to count someone unless they have already become a permanent resident and you are currently obligated to support. If I am reading the instructions wrong on this, then I would hope someone would come along and correct me.
