Thankfully you got through it. some of us are still stuck. but I think USCIS needs a independent authority overlooking their whole process. Kind of harrassment people go through is mind boggling.

I think it's hight time for u get hold of a good immigration attorney, if you feel that your case is getting delayed for no reason. After all that's how it worked for me.

Please allow me to share my status update with the help of the Senator.

Actual Response from USCIS to the Senator

Thank you for your May 13, 2014, letter on behalf of your constituent, XXXXXX, regarding his pending N-400 application.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records confirm that Mr. XXXX case is pending at this time. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner while also ensuring public safety, national security and compliance with all relevant directives. While the processing steps for most applications or petitions are completed quickly, a small percentage of cases involve unresolved issues that may result in adjudication delays.

The Officer is given 120 days from the date of the interview to process the N-400 application. In order to have the case expedite, please review criteria for expediting.

We hope this information is helpful. If we may be of further assistance, please let us know.

Dear Cashwindows,

Did you file the Writ yourself or had an attorney? Could you share the name and number of the attorney you used.

USCIS interviewed me under FB category (for my I-485) in Feb 2013. After 4 months they issed an RFE...to which comprehensive response and documentation was provided. I have now been waiting for 15 months. After 3 infopass, 5--6 congressional inquiries, 2 attorney requests ...I am FRUSTRATED and have decided to go ahead with a WRIT. My current attorney would not file a WRIT because his firm processess H1s and GCs for Corporate firms.

I am looking for a good attorney. PLEASE SUGGEST. Also could you let me know did the WRIT cost you.

Cashwindows,

Saw your OMG experiences with USCIS. Well I am done with my N400 interview on July 1st and IO said I passed my interview. But at the last part of my paper work, he had me sign the paper work with a decision will be make and not congralution you have passed and will be schedule for Oath ceremony. After that I received RFE status saying that on July 1st they have mailed out a notice requesting for initial evidence. Until now I have not received my notice. It has been 2 weeks from July 1st. I do have a lawyer for my Filing N400. basically it is because I had a divorce with my ex wife and I filed for 5 years residence by myself. I was married again with my current wife but she is only a F1 student and we have a baby girl now. I filed for my citizenship anyway when 5 years wait period is due. Hmm... what advice do you have for me? it's only 2 weeks since the notice from online case status. I have not receive anything from them yet. Please help me.

Panic and depress!
