Our initial i129f was filed through an immigration agency in the town my fiancé lives in. So my fiancé got a copy basically string it was a courtesy notice and thy the official noa2 went to our representative. He went to meet with them today and they told him his form would work or the interview. It's not the official document, doesn't name the NVC and doesn't have a listed consulate.

Am I wrong in believing we need a copy of the original and not of his courtesy notice? Need to know right away in order for him to send forms.

I believe you need a copy of the original for when you AOS. Get the original IMHO.
