In the Catechism of the Catholic Church publish by JP II, the Church States:

the Catholic Church upholds the right to private property, requires the employer to pay a decent wage to support the worker, requires the worker to work faithfully and respect the property of his employer, and does not permit "the market" to be used as an excuse to violate moral principles.

It's not exactly some liberal orthodoxy but it ain't saying let the market decide. After all the free market is what gives allows pornography to exist. Nor is it the kind of thinking that accepts cheap labor from impoverished countries.

I respect you ace, even if we don't always agree!

I hate when politicians (no matter what side they there on) try to pretend they represent the very complex faith that I know -- don't mix the sacred with the profane please
