Hi Every One,

I have one question, I got approval I-751 in Aug-2006. I went to local district office to complete all formalities like, passport stamp, gave them old GC and letter which i recieved and biomatrics. As my passport was expiring so I got new one but I have stamp in my old passport. I went to immigration office and they told me that I dont need new stamp on new passport, Old stamp is enough to travel just take both passport while travelling. Not sure...shall I trust or cross check with others. I know when your passport expires you can still travel if you have valid visas on your old passport....just need a second thought.....Thanks in Advanced.

They won't transfer items out of your old passport into your new one so therefore you travel with both passports.

YMMV

Once you have your 10 year permanent residence card, you don't need a stamp in your passport, just as you did not need one with the 2 year unexpired conditional green card!

Just carry both passports with you and you will have no problems..... we have business workers who travel a lot some have to get new passports every 4 - 5 years as they get full of visa's and entry stamps, when they get a new passport they just carry the other old passport that have the visa/entry stamp along with the new one.... they have no problems.
