Didn't you submit that during NVC process? Does your interview letter mentioned anything about that the missing tax return paper and asking you to bring in interview?

As you said you already submitted the paper and is under review then it will be fine. Good Luck.

i submitted on nvc but almost one year ago 2011 tax returns. so they required for the latest one but they didn't mention any thing on the IL. if they mention i can prepare before my interview appointment date. i ask embassy before my interview that time also they didnt tell anything about that. but no matter, i submit already and waiting for the next call by embassy.

This is just a thought.... I think you don't need to worry they just need your 2012 ITR & after giving it to them, ther is no need for another interview and they will just mail your visa to you ...if that is just the problem.... and as long as they did not told you that your petition is denied during your interview...

Just give them few days to review your papers. You will be fine. IL says to bring the most recent tax document for interview ( I am not sure if F2A's interview letter is different than CR1).

Do you mind sharing your interview experience other than that? What questions were asked? What proof of relationship did you take? etc

NVC had sent me IL for 16th July. I was eagerly waiting for the day. On July 1st, I had my medical test. My interview time was fixed at 1 p.m. of 16th July. I reached there before 10 minutes and completed all the security checks. I got my token and waited in a hall for my turn to come. At first, i was called to a counter for capturing finger prints. Again, I kept waiting for the next call. After around half an hour, they called me for general enquiry. The enquiry officer asked me the following questions:

1. How long have you been married?

- I told him the exact date of my wedding. But the officer asked me to tell him the period that have elapsed since the wedding day. I replied him accurately.

2. Have you stayed in any other country for more than six months?

- I had been to Dubai (UAE) and had stayed there for 2 years and 3 months. Then, he asked me to produce the Police Report issued by UAE. But, I didn't have one.

- The officer also told me to produce the most recent Tax Return Certificate of my Spouse (sponsor). I didn't have this one too at the interview.

3. Have you got any photos of your wedding ceremony?

- I handed him a photo album of my wedding.

At last, He told me that these two documents- a police report issued by UAE and the tax clearance certificate of my spouse, are very essential documents and that I must submit later. He asked for my original passport plus two 2X2 photos. He also kept my documents including photo album for reviewing and then he told me to wait for some time until they would call me again.

After having waited for around 45 minutes, an officer announced my name from a counter. The officer showed me the forms and documents and asked me whether those documents related to me. Then, She asked me the some questions.

1. How did your spouse entered USA and when?

- I replied that she was taken to USA by her father through Immigration Visa.

Thank you very much for sharing the interview experience. I am surprised they did not ask you UAE police clearance at the NVC stage. But looks like its not required.

Give them week or two, here is one in VJ, who had AP in Kathmandu, but was cleared within two weeks.

Had you been living in Pakistan, you wouldn't even need a Police report - b/c for Pakistan Police reports are now considered unreliable so the NVC told me I don't need to submit them or take them to the embassy for consular processing :P LOL
