Wadi and I were talking last night about jinn. I hadn't realized that jinn are genies!

Sept 17-Oct 3, 2005 Noura goes to Morocco to meet family & friends of Said (informally engaged)

Daily phonecalls, discover internet chatting w/ video cam - OMG!!!

March 25-April 14, 2006 Noura's 2nd trip to Morocco - formal engagement w/ family

April 24, 2006- mailed in K1 Visa package - TSC

Oct 5, 2006 - Interview SUCCESS

Oct 12, 2006 - Called to pick up visa tomorrow!

Oct. 16, 2006 VISA IN HAND!

Dec. 24, 2006 - Said arrives in NOLA, just in time for the holidaze!

Dec. 31, 2006 - OUR WEDDING!!! Ringing in a New Year as husband & wife!

:lol: No! Wadi had described them as evil spirits. I don't think of genies as evil. I didn't realize that our genie was equivalent.

I'm having leftover lamb sausage (so yummy, I cooked it last nite) w/ some kale - which i thought wasn't quite enough, so I stopped at one of my fave Lebaneses places to pick up a little tabouleh, okra, & grilled eggplant - eyes bigger than tummy!!! :star::whistle: anyone want some?

Don't feel bad Jenn, this is the first I had put 2 and 2 together as well. Seems odd to me since our idea of a Genie is some magical person in a lamp that gives us 3 wishes, not as someone evil. I don't see how the 2 could be one and the same.

So now I find out that if I find a lamp, don't rub it in anticipation of receiving 3 wishes, rather we should toss it far away and run. Damn, one more dream tossed to the wind.

Yes, a very different concept if you ask me. Maybe other people knew what genies were really up to, but I always pictured a jolly, blue blob that sounded like Robin Williams. :lol:
