I had my interview in Montreal this morning and just received an emailed stating that my passport was picked up by loomis this evening at 7:30. Wow they are quick!

Hi, i am new on this site because i am about to file for a IR1/CR1 visa and i am reading this thread but a bit confused with the terms.

What does "loomis" mean?

Also, someone said their passport was picked up, do they keep your passport while your applying for a visa?

Loomis is the system used to return your passport back to you after the interview.

It is kept at the interview.

I had my interview in Montreal on the 12th and was APPROVED (yay!!) however, I haven't received my Waybill # yet. I'm starting to freak out a bit, I hear all of these horror stories about Montreal taking their sweet ### time with returning passports.

Can anyone ease my mind? <3

Not sure, we were an IR1, not a K1.

I believe this is the part where someone tells you to call DOS and ask for the status of your visa.

I'm confused! Your waybill #? Did you receive your visa yet? If yes, how long did it take you to receive it? If I'm reading this right, you haven't received your visa...

The visa isn't just given back to you in the passport after the interview. You need to sign up for Loomis/DHL and they will courier it to a location you choose. They give you a waybill# to track the passport with visa and do not open package.

I agree with TML, call DOS and ask ####### is up with the visa!
