Hi All...hoping someone can help.

My husband arrived in August of 2010. We could not bring his son with him at that moment but placed him on Follow To Join Status. Since then we have been married, filed the AOS in December of 2010 and in February of 2011 he was made a Temporary Permanent Resident. In December 2012 we filed docs to remove conditional status on Permanent Residency and this was granted in May of 2013.

My step-son came to US in October of 2011 and we have not done anything with his status. Now we want to adjust him to get Permanent Residency but I am not sure what I have to do. I know we file I-485 but do we need to file an Affidavit of Support as well. Problem is we only earned $17k last year and we wont meet requirement if we need to do this. People are telling me its not necessary as he is only 12 but I need to know. HELP...

Good luck on your immigration journey.
