What is a service request.

What actually is a service request, anybody know what actually happens once service request is created will someone take a look at the file?

I called USCIS today and a service request was created and was told that I should hear something within 15 days and if not call them back again. I was also given a request ID.

i had a service request done and suppose to check back tomorrow. Yes, someone is "SUPPOSED" to look at your file and make the service request changes. Stay on them and keep checking back to see if they made the service request change.

I have had two service request filed and they said I will hear from them in two weeks. But havenot heard anything yet.

What my understand from reading the forum is that some is supposed to look into your case thru a service request is only when it is beyond processing time.
