After multiple calls to information line over past two weeks, finally got our case number but still have not received instruction letter. My understanding is that with case number we can fill out DS-260, I-864, and request interview and medical but not sure in what order this is done and how without the letter since so much information online is non DCF oriented.

DH already has a login to the online system from his B1 renewal last year but not sure if that is where he fills out the DS260 or if something else is required first.

I believe in CDJ the I-864 just needs to be taken with him to interview but again I don't want to assume anything and mess things up.

Does anyone have a letter they can share with me or a link to one online for Juarez DCF process after having the case number?

The movers already headed north and daughter and I are flying with dogs next Tuesday so really really need help to not waste even a day in the process to avoid separation.

Thanks in advance,

Hi headinghome,

We recently went through the DCF process here in Mexico and we never actually received the invitation letter that they had sent from CDJ. So just like you we phoned and got our case number. We then completed the DS-260 and made the biometrics and interview appointment online. My husband had to get the letter printed in CDJ at the consulate information window before he had his medical, biometrics, and interview because they require it for each. It's not uncommon for people to miss mail from CDJ because the mail system is a bit unreliable, but it's no problem to get the letter there. You just need to go early in the morning before the other appointments. The window opens at 7:30am. My husband went at 6:30 and there was already a line, but he got it by around 8. And, yes, the I-864 does need to be submitted at the interview. Here's the link with instructions for the process...

Of course, the DCF process is slightly different because you schedule your own interview time and you don't submit anything to NVC... instead you bring it all to the Consulate.

Good luck!!

Thanks so much! Seriously don't know what I'd do without Visa Journey

Going to work on getting the DS-260 completed by tomorrow and hope they have availability for interviews rather quickly.

I read some old threads that suggested having the packet with passport and documentation delivered to the Juarez DHL office to go ahead and do POE there. Does anyone know if that recommendation is still valid? If you had the passport and packet delivered somewhere else in Mexico, how many days after the interview was it available for pickup?

If approved, the packet and passport come quickly! We had my husband's sent to Querétaro and it only took 2 days. I have heard of others waiting in Juarez for it and then doing POE there. Even though we got our packet in April, we just POEd last week. It went smoothly. It just depends on what is most convenient for you guys. You have 6 months to enter.
