I got a RFE and mailed it back last week. Today, i got an email and the status of my case on the website has changed from RFE to intial review. Has this happened to anyone before? What does this mean?

It means they have your RFE response and are still doing whatever they need to do.

They received my RFE response on 8 july and my case status also changed to initial review on 9 july. Still waiting for NOA 2 smile.png

Me too!!! RFE reply sent 2013-07-16, RFE reply recd by TSC 2013-07-23, status changed to "RFE Response Review" & today it is back to "Initial Review". I missed one heart beat after reading it, but then I calmed down & checked for similar posts on VJ. I think its a normal procedure...nothing to worry. And waiting continues............ God bless us!!!!
