Tourists visa after ban

My boyfriend got a tourist visa, ,flew to the USA got caught by the police.

He has been caught working in the USA illegally (without a work permit).

He was in the USA for a total time of 90 days.

2 Questions:

1) What are the punishments for working in the USA with a tourist visa but without a work permit?

2) I heard that once they catch you, you lose your visa. Is it possible to get a tourist visa again later? If so, how?

I'm not sure of his penalty, but whoever employed him broke the law and will face a fine at a minimum.

Hopefully he has left the USA. He has committed a serious crime. Was he deported?

He wont be granted a tourist visa again and probably will have to deal with at least a 10 year ban or even a lifetime ban.

With the presumption he was deported as a result, it will be very hard for him to get another tourist visa to the US, for this episode will be on his record for a long time.

He potentially will face a ban of entry to the US for 5 years or so. If you're serious about being together and hope to get married I would get some legal advice myself.
