mistake in cover letter- please help!!

I sent out i -751 recently , then realized that i made a mistake in the cover letter. I stated my first entrance to the U.S., that was many years ago. so I didn't remember correctly - I remember it wrong by two months. Should I make a correction, and how to do that? I know they will keep all the documents on record, so don't want to leave wrong info there, maybe one day it will bite me. suggestions? Thanks guys.

I would. Just let them know NOW that you made an honest mistake and correct the date. DO NOT give them any reason to send you an RFE letter or schedule an interview. I don't think this is a huge deal unless you fail to correct it. Good luck!

Thank for your your reply! I called customer service, the lady bascially said, because it's only a cover letter not in the application so it shouldn't impact my applications. But If i want to make a change anyway, i can wait until i receive my receipt then send a letter to change the date.

 I just sent mine too and realized I made a mistake in the cover letter , instead of the CA center I type in the Vermont address, how did it go with yours?
