So I went to the Interview today with my husband and unfortunAtely he's plAced in Administrative processing... I literally cried my eyes out, the CO told me the case looks good I have everything and that he is unable to do anything but he says he told Washington (where the case is now sent) that they should approve it. Any suggestions, comments?

He said it may take a month or a bit more, I said I'm know ppl who r stuck in it for 10 months... He replied even years...

Dry your tears you will need all your strength and courage to get through the weeks ahead. To check the status of your case go to www.ceac.state.gov website and also call Dept of State at 202-663-1225 press 1, then 0.

CO said to us too that its approved but AP shorter for us, but now its longer. I went back to US for delivery and got stuck there longer because of not wanting to bring our son to Pakistan without enough vaccinations. Good luck waiting

USCIS I-130 Petition for Spouse

September 2012: Filed from abroad to Chicago Lockbox

4 days later: NOA1, Routed to California Service Center

7 days later: Transferred because of new jurisdiction

5 days later: Case Status changed to: Under processing at USCIS office

NOA2 arrived 78 days after NOA1 :)

*I-130 Approval Notice hardcopy finally received in Pakistan, the only notice that arrived.

@Wsalman, my husband received a Green sheet.

They told him that it should take about a month. I told him that some ppl have been also waiting for 10 months or more, he said YES, there are cases which may even take years.

He also told me our case looks fine and there is no reason it should take long. He said there is nothing he can do.

The CO took the passport and the interview was just about 5 minutes.

He asked the following questions:

Where did you meet your wife?

Do you have pictures?

How many people attended the ceremony?

With whom does your wife stay with when she goes to New York?

Where exactly is the location that she resides when she visits her parents?

When I check the status online at CEAC, they say AP may take a few weeks.

Is that the same message everyone gets who is placed in AP?

Yes its the same message I been getting for the past 10 months now. Husband's interview was in October. In the city I live in there are about eight of us girls waiting for Husbands to arrive. All married in year of 2011-12 who were placed on AP during interview. Its very sad that there are so many of us from a small town in CA I cant imagine how many others are there. May Allah pak have mercy on us regards to this issue. I pray every day for all my brother and sisters in AP.

Hey my husband had his interview in may. I was with him too and he was given a green slip. We were told it'll take several months. My husband asked about how long. They said 3-6 months. Out case hasn't updated since the interview. I'm so stressed :(

My interview took place on 17th July, 2013 and was put in AP. I was told everything seems good and you should wait about 1 month.

My husbands interview also took place on the same date as u at Islamabads Embassy.

I was told the exact same thing. Which embassy did you go to?

Allah maaf kare, but Its driving me insane.

I knew I would hear those 2 words...

I see that people all over the internet say about 98% of men go thru this process.

I don't even know who to blame because its basically like a new Law that all men have to go thru this.

May I ask you if your husband has travelled outside of the country or to any other Muslim Country?
