Mailing Address is PO Box

Ok I just had a light go off tonight, my mailing address is not my physical address. I live in a PO Box comunnity, we dont get home delivery. So when I filled in the forms I used my physical address. So do I change my address on USCIS? Can I get my NOA1 resent? Had an update today something was sent. Do I just wait the 30 days like it says if not recieved and call? UGH!!

Please help me!! I knew I would screw something up.

Hi,

You need to send in a letter and request for change of address. I did this for mine. First call USCIS and explain them the issue and they will provide you with the mailing address where you would have to send the letter.

You can change your address online or by talking to a tier 2 officer at USCIS. If you talk to an officer, they can correct it and put it back on track. If you do it online, follow up with a letter pointing out the mistake. For now, all they have is your NOA1 returned to them. They should re-mail it once you tell them about it.

Ok, so after my last post I changed the address on USCIS site, the next day my status went back to Initial Review. I calle dto make sure if the NOA1 would be remailed, the agent said no, it isnt needed for anything because I have the receipt number. But today I received in the mail the original NOA1 marked remailed and the envelpoe they sent it in. WOOHOO!! I may not need it but I feel so much better haveing it in my hands. Now here is to hoping the estimated processing is correct.
