Wow! You have a lot going on right now, I'm sorry to hear about your mom; that must be difficult.

You can contact NVC for your case # or just wait for the hard copy in the mail (dependent on how patient you are).

If you contact NVC, you can call or email them, phone: (603) 334-0700 or email: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

You will need to provide your uscis #, petitioner and applicant full name and dob.

NVC can tell you if they have received your case, your case # (if received), and if it has been sent to the local consulate (again, if received).

You can start on package 3, police certificate, immunizations (if needed), and affidavit of support (USC to complete).

Hope everything becomes a little less stressful for you and good luck!

So very sorry to hear about your mom dear.

NVC has been telling K1's that it can take up to 8 weeks to arrive and get case#. All you can do is keep calling.

Once you get it you can email embassy and they will send you instructions. Be proactive and not wait for NVC email or embassy email.

Once you email embassy they instruct you on medical, payments at bank than you can schedule your appointment.

Congratulations and sorry to hear about you mother, I wish her a speedy recovering. I just got approved too and was advised that my fiancé needs to fill out the DS-156 and Ds-156k plus 1-134 that is the affidavit support you need to fill out, include supporting evidence like your paystubs, employment letter and income tax return and send to your fiancé. Once you get your case # you can call or email Nigeria embassy. Good luck
