My case completed at NVC since end of May this year, and still no interview date from HCM Consulate or NVC. I called NVC and DOS just about every few days, just to be told to wait. I thought NVC process is fast, but it seems the biggest variant is the foreign embassy processing time. HCM consultate doesn't even post the processing time or progress for CR1. I hope the delay is not due to the fraudulent cases discovered in May with a corrupted consulate officer Sestak.

Is it just a waiting game and be patient at this point? I know people using agencies (called dich vu) in VN to help with their case, but that's just for preparing you for the interview and paperwork, right? It's not like those agencies have a shortcut route (wink wink) to get earlier interview dates, right?

Just checking with others going through HCM, VN consulate to get some perspective. NVC operators couldn't tell me the volume this or last month, or how many are ahead of my case.

Sighs...

I think you should get your interview date soon unless there some issued with you file!

Goodluck

Thanks. I noticed in your timeline that your NVC case left 7/16. How did you find that out? I thought that NVC doesn't send the case file until you have an interview date. Did you get an interview date?

Holly cow, I just got an email for an interview date first week of August in HCM. That's in less than two weeks. I am excited at first, but now I am worried. How the heck will the case files arrive in time for the embassy to send out the interview letter. She will need the interview letter to do the medical exams. They must have knew this date weeks ago. I call them on Tuesday, and NVC didn't have any news.
