Hey all,

I adopted a puppy (long haired mini dachshund) here in NYC.

I want to go home to visit my family in London at some point and I want to take her with me, as she's a part of my family now and I am desperate for my parents and sisters to also meet her.

She is healthy, microchipped, has the rabies vaccine etc. My only query is that most airlines in the UK do not seem to allow the transport of vets. I've checked defra website and all that, I want advice on airlines and routes.

I'd like some real life experiences from people who have managed to bring their pet back to the UK with them. How did you do it?

I don't have the Real world experience of the travel with pets, but in case you hadn't seen it yet, the UK has a site with lots of information on what is required

There are specialist companies for Air travel and the QM2 allows pets small but books up early.

No idea about Quarantine, presume that link has it.

It's kind of expensive. The air fare for the pet is often more than for the human.....................

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.
