America did not liberate France by itself. How arrogant!

At least France has won some wars. What wars has America won except the War of Independence ( we French helped out , but whatever). Couldn't even beat the Viet Com, with all your superior technology - lol

Yes, in the battle for Normandy, the US took three beaches, the Brits took two, and the Canadians took one. Guess how many the french took?

Granted, the French resistance had a significant role in helping the ALLIES (which we all were) retake France. But by hating on the US armed forces in WW2 you're sh1tting on a lot of dead soldiers and relatives of United States citizens. You don't have to suck the proverbial American d1ck but you end up looking like an a$$ when you count out sacrifices made partially for your country and partially for the greater good.

And thanks for helping us out in our revolutionary war. We needed the help.

200,000 armed men. There are more than that in our woods for deer season!

Background checks dont stop anyone who refuses to do one. How do you force people to do them?

Criminal statutes don't stop a killer from killing. Does that mean we should get rid of those statutes? Speed limit doesn't stop the speeder from speeding. Get rid of those, too? Red lights don't stop certain people from crossing the intersection. So we should then get rid of red lights. In fact, we should get rid of all laws and rules because we can never force everyone to obey all of them all the time. If we follow this train of thought, then the Constitution should be shredded, too. You know you can't force everyone to live by it all the time so it's worthless.

You're the only ignorant person here. I can't help it if you come from a nation of cowards. So you have a gay American boyfriend that petitioned you for a K1?

What you're trying to do with a background check is say someone who's a licensed driver should be required to retake the driving test every time they want to buy a new car. Who cares about the fact they drove a car to the dealership or they have a car or two in their garage already. We're going to make them retest just because they're buying another one.

What kind of sense does that make?

Why aren't car dealers required to verify someone's license - via background check - every time they sell a car to someone? Why is it, when you sell a car over the internet, you're not required to verify the person you sell to has a driver's license?

Cars are waaaay more dangerous than guns! Yet you folks would never consider mandatory background checks on those. Why not?

Um they ask for a drivers license? They register the vehicle? They pay taxes on the sale?

Anything else with your car analogy?

Who does? The buyer or the seller? The car lot?

If you meet a guy over the internet and buy a car from him, does he check your license? Does he call the BMV to make sure your license is good?
