Hello, i am thinking of starting a new life in the US my self and much to my disappointment i find it to be very difficult in not impossible to do this days.

My situation is as follows : i have a uncle and his wife there they are US citizens for over 20 years now and they are getting on in years and need some one to take care of them , knowing i`m looking to come to the US (have been talking about this for some time now ) they made me the proposition of taking care of then until they pass away and in exchange they are willing to leave me there home and stuff. I wold have done this for free because they are family but this was even more of a incentive for me to make a decision and try to make my dream come true.

From what i have read on the internet i have very limited possibilities of been able to live and work in the US:

1) visa lottery ( i been try`n this every year for a the past 5 years and the chances of winning are lottery like ... )

2) Work sponsored green card - and regarding this i wanted to ask : how do you find a job or is it at least possible to find one who is willing to sponsor me for green card based on a CV and a interview , i mean to be honest if i was a company CEO i wold not higher some one in this conditions with out a 6 month trial period at least...

I have a college diploma

7 years experience working as a Network Administrator or Hardware and Software technician.

i`m 27 years old and not married and do not have kids.

I have a few other specializations most of them in the IT industry

Ask if you need to know anything else.

If there are any other options that i might not know about please tell me about them so i can research them , and if you can give me as much information about them.

So in short i`m interested on how do new immigrants who want to live&work in the us start this daunting procedure , what are the first steps to take in this process and is it still possible this days?

Thanks in advance for reading all of this and waiting for your answers .

I would recommend finding a recruiter or agency that specializes in finding companies with need for foreign workers. To tell you the truth I have a friend in the technology field and he said it's very difficult for companies to sponsor. It costs the company a lot of money (he quoted $20k) and plus hardest part is proving no one else in USA can do the job. Most Tech jobs are outsourced to India and China.

I would recommend getting a student visa and getting your Masters in the USA. This way you can research companies or you never know maybe you'll find that lucky girl with status already.

Keep pushing forward.

The student visa is not for me as i`m looking to work not study and wold like to find a job so i could sustain my self.

For a IT specialist work is plentiful from what i herd but the problem is there are a lot of people who are qualified to do it and the chances for me to get a visa based on it are slim.
