Confusion about K1 packet 3/4, Delhi consulate

My fiance received our first packet from the Delhi Embassy last week. We were under the impression that packet 3 would come first, we'd have to fill out the DS-230 and send it back, and then we'd get our appointment letter. Instead, the first packet we received from the embassy had our appointment letter. That was surprising and exciting, but now I'm confused. It didn't state that we had to turn in any documents prior to the interview. Is that accurate? I trust the info in the packet, but just wanted to double check!

My fiance will be interviewing at New Delhi as well and I understood it the same way as you. According to the embassy website I thought we needed to submit the DS-230 and a signed embassy form. This is what I found on the website regarding K1 visa's packet 3.

Thank you so much for responding to me! Yeah, I found that too but still feel so confused. To be on the safe side, I think we'll go ahead and send in this print out that you gave me the link for (with everything checked off!) and the DS-230. I guess it can't hurt to send it in before his interview, and then just bring an extra copy of the DS-230 when he goes for the interview :)
