How long from the time consulate receives K1 to P3?

Guangzhou received our petition electronically from NVC on July 8th. I know it's only been 8 days, but I'm just wondering what is the general timeframe until we get the P3. Anyone have a general idea how long we need to wait?

Good question, especially considering that the consulate is in the middle of moving to the new site. I would suspect that not much is going to get done other than moving for some time. Check out this thread from the Embassy and Consulate forum:

I would expect extended time lines with the move and recent changes with scheduling at GZ, at least for the short term.

Thanks, guys. I already sent an email last night before starting this topic, I'll report back here once they've replied. I did check out a few timelines and noticed the P3 packet arrives rather quickly, usually in less then a week and a half, but with the move I would also expect we might have to wait a little longer.

I'll let everyone know once I receive a response.

there's been many topics about the P3 for Guangzhou - have you found them, read them?

whilst yer waiting for the IV Unit to re-open on 23 July 2013, I suggest (if you haven't done so already)

to make a ustraveldocs account, print out the CITIC coversheet thingie, take to a CITIC bank and pay it.

Once the receipt # is logged (by a CITIC employee) at the ustraveldocs portal - hey ! she can self-schedule.

I haven't found any relevant threads using either the site's function or searching the site via Google. I've used strings like "p3 waiting time" and "how long till p3 arrives," among others. I either find threads that do not directly address the question or are just about related topics.

CITIC coversheet thing is already printed out, she's paying the fee this week!
