Hi, i've been a hopeful lurker in this forums for a while now.
recently, I have been really glad to hear that F2a petition for spouses of lpr will be current on August 2013.
this is a golden opportunity for me and my wife to be happy together for good.

so im looking for some guidance on how to properly apply a f2a petition and adjustment of status.

she is currently in the US as a tourist visa. and it would be great if i can file for petition for her and be included on those lucky ones that will be granted on august 2013. It will also be nice if i can apply adjustment of status for her so she can stay here while waiting for the greencard.

right now im not sure where to start and i dont want to waste time and blow this opportunity.

so please help me on which steps to make.

shall i seek an immigration lawyer?

thanks a lot in advance

Follow the guide: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?autocom=custom&page=i130guide2 although of course your wife would be adjusting as the spouse of an LPR and not a US citizen.

Enclose a copy of the approval notice of her I-130 in lieu of an I-130 itself, and she must have no accrued no overstay whatsoever to be able to adjust in the US.

For the wife LPR she could adjust if she was in the US legally when her petition is approved and the priority date is current. USC can apply for the AOS at the same time as they file the petition. If you can get her I130 approved and priority is still current before her allowed stay is up then she can adjust. Otherwise she must leave.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
