I read on the Montreal Consulate page that (2) copies of the DS-156 are needed at interview.

However, that was posted in 2009.

Is this something that's still required?

Can someone direct me to a checklist for items I need to bring?

I wasn't coming up with anything by searching myself

I have so far:

- Interview Letter

- Original PCC

- All tax return transcripts (including 2012 since I did the actual returns)

- New version of I-864EZ

- Loomis Confirmation

- Original Marriage Cert

- Original Beneficiary BC

- Beneficiary Passport

- Passport Style Photos

And before Montreal went online forms to boot.

Hey wait.. You have your husband right? Don't leave him at home, he's kinda the big deal here!

Oh thank god.

But if you read the info, it says even though you fill out the DS-230 online, they still required it.

Just, apparently a few years ago.

I was thinking to myself a few moments ago 'if Hubby doesn't start moving, i'm leaving w/o him.... oh wait... I can't....'

1. ds-156 not for your visa type

2. you have originals of civil documents, not list any photocopies. make photocopies of birth certificate, marriage certificate, bring. you'll get the originals back. not necessary to make copy of pcc.

3. must show certified copies on interview day, of prior divorce documents on beneficiary and petitioner. bring a photocopy also, you can walk away with the certified copies.

4. i not note any bonafide marriage evidence in yer list. sure, I know it's Montreal, but bring whatcha got.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I took photocopies but as they had printed off my file, they didn't ask for them.
