Obama RUNS AWAY from TM

This is my own opinion piece not linked to any article but you can find all you want on the internet. You know how. I make the title to reflect my opinons. The title matches the headline.

I expected a lot of smoke and no fire from Obama and posted that several times. Seems we will not even get the smoke.

Obama today asked for calm and asked for respect of the legal system. He stated that he is leaving the decision whether to seek Federal charges up to the Justice Dept. He just handed off the hot potato. He knows there is nothing good in this for him. Of course he has no business in this anyway and his position is exactly correct. Support the justice system, plead for people to be respectful and get out of it.

He did not saty out of it when he thought there was something in it for him. "If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon" Nice. Now that GZ has been acquitted he walks away and leaves it to someone else. That was fast.

Justice Dept. Balks

Eric Holder, today, gave a speech in which he stated the Justice Dept had been investigating this since last April. They have. They have all the information that was available at the trial. He says they continue to investigate. This means "There ain't a damn thing we can do" I will tell you that now and you can believe me, or you can fantasize like some of you did during the state criminal trial. I'm pro-choice.

Federal Hate Crimes?

I am going to tell you the ending now. You can stay around and watch the movie. I know the ending so this is all I have to say about it and then I can go back to other topics or just having fun getting people to check maps, airline itineraries, photo searches and the like. Always amazes me how many morons will jump all over that shyt.

Anyway, I digress. There can be no charges of hate crimes. Why?

1. There is no "crime". Self defense is not a crime. GZ was acquitted and they gave his gun back...he is not a criminal, is innocent of any crime. He killed a person. He committed homicide. Homicide is not always a crime. In this case it was not.

2. In order to conceal the real reason for the trial, RACISM, and make it appear that the trial was not about race...or gun control...the issue of race and gun control were never mentioned in the trial. There is NO racial component to this case.

The Feds would have to prove what he did was a crime.......LOSE already

and PROVE that what he did was because Trayvon was black and that he would NOT have used deadly force otherwise....Impossible...even at the reduced standard of a civil action.

Obama has run out and left Eric Holder holding the bag. Eric Holder is on his way out for a number of other issues. I think Obama will let him play this out, decline to prosecute criminally or civiy and then fire him for show. In other words Obama is going to keep him long enough to pile another scandal on him.

But I do not have total confidence in that, just a prediction. Put it in as Gary's pick.

What I am confident about is that there will be NO Federal action, no new gun control laws. The protests will diminish. By the end of the week they will be over for the most part. They may be something over the weekend, but I doubt anything widespread.

What Else?

Private civil suits? Sure, why not? Gotta feed the pigs and there is no shortage of pigs in this country. Those piney woods rooters are running out of the brush as we speak! I have no interest in that at all and do not need to comment in any of what could be endless threads about one suit or another. GZ will be the plaintiff in some and the defendant in others. Some of those shysters just got a job to carry them through to retirement.

90% of this will fade by the end of the week, maybe less. There really is nothing happening to carry it into the next news cycle. There will be a minor "blip" when the Justice Dept, announces they will do nothing. IF they announce that. They could just continue to investigate for a few years. These things take time. Especially when you can no longer tell someone else to do it for you.

The government has hinted that "they will wait to see what comes out of the civil suits" Yeah...translation..."Civil suits take YEARS and by then no one will notice we are not doing a damn thing"

There are some serious accusations being made toward the "special prostituter" (that's a made up word so Penny can respond)

I would love to see her disbarred. Could happen. No prediction from me on that but to note this is Florida, NOT California.

It has been a fun topic, even if entirely predictable since last year. At a minimum the VJ community benefitted from the "truth in labeling" of at least one member. Trayvon did not die for nothing!

For the third consecutive night, a crowd of hundreds gathered Monday in downtown Oakland to protest George Zimmerman's acquittal in the shooting death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin.

The protests grew violent, Oakland Police Department spokeswoman told The Times on Monday, as members of the crowd threw bottles and fireworks at police officers, smashed store windows and burned U.S. flags.

Police arrested at least six people, officials said, on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges.

A group of more than 100 protesters blocked traffic on Interstate 880 for about 15 minutes earlier Monday night, officials said. At least one person was escorted away in handcuffs.

On social media, protesters and reporters shared photographs and details about Monday night's demonstration.

Still no riots here OR in Florida OR any other state where if you riot people do not have to retreat from it or put up with it. It is only a crisis when the power is in the hands of rioters. It is not a 'crisis' (not even a blip) in places where you can demonstrate all you want but as soon as you start burning things and breaking glass it's over and nobody's going to do a dam thing to the person who ended your fun.
