what are some of the things you (vjers) wished you did to help speed the process along after your case was approved and sent to the consulate and your fiance(e) recieving the packet 3? what recemondations do you have to prepare for the packet?

or any other things you wished you would have done if you could do it over again?

Is a good time to prepare the I-134 Affidavit of support. I also used the time to help my fiance fill out the DS-230 form.

Agreed. I filled out draft copies of all the forms required. Also went to my family doctor to get a copy of my immunizations records (to bring to my medical). Police checks took only one week, so I waited until I had my packet 3 before getting that done.

Don't really regret anything except I should've sent off my AOS/EAD package sooner after the wedding :P

I wish we'd ordered Tax transcripts sooner, so Id have been able to send the checklist in before the dreaded Christmas postal nightmare..

also, I wish Id completed the packet 3 forms before the packet arrived,

completing forms to me is like pulling teeth, I loathe it.

I guess, I thought London would take longer than they did, and didnt realise how swiftly things can progress

after NOA2.

the only thing that i can think of is we should of gone DCF then we wouldnt of had to do AOS .... (if i have read correctly)

we were pretty organised with everything and used msn when we were fillling the forms out sending them back an forth to get them right..

reading as much information as you can about the process...

you can go online to the IRS website or ring them up..

we couldnt find last years anywhere last we used it was at the interview in sydney ...

so i went onto the website and we got a copy for 29.95 and downloaded it the next couple of days and printed it out...but you can get them free also ..i dont know how long it takes though.

its a horrid process but the end result is your with your husband/wife and they become a permanent resident which is the light at the end of the tunnel no matter how long it takes...and patience is a must ....

take care and good luck
