If you go back a couple of pages on this forum, you will see a member on the March 2013 who rescheduled his biometrics in March and is still waiting for the reschedule notice.

I will recommend to take your appointment notice and try a walk in bio before your actual date. A lot of the ASC offices will let you take your fingerprints before your scheduled date.

If you try this and they refuse to let you in, then you can go ahead and reschedule the date by checking the reschedule appointment and then check the afternoon slot. Not sure if this is guaranteed though.

how can I check the reschedule appointment.My problem is even if they reschedule me for like 3 wks later still i can not make it in the morning.how likely is it for me to be accepted if i just walk in ASC at hicksville ny before my actual appointment date?My appointment is on August 6th AM.I am free all day long AUG first and second.

You can TRY a walk in any day and time. Just take the letter with you to the office. At my office in Atlanta they didn't even ask me why I needed to do it before my scheduled date. If they do, you can just tell them that you will be working that day and can't come at the scheduled day & time.

-->If for any reason they won't let you do it before your scheduled date, on the bio notice, there is a box were you check to reschedule appointment and there's also a box for 'am' or 'pm' appointment.

Don't wait till the last minute to try the walk in, if you can try next week in the afternoon so if they refuse you, you have enough time to request the bio to be rescheduled.

Do a walk-in and ask to speak to the officer who takes finger prints. If you get denied, try again, tell them you had to drive 3 hours etc. Most of them are very helpful and will try to work it out.

or consider taking a road trip and stay the night just for the heck of it :-) I would not reschedule it. If you are lucky you might get in sooner again, but if you are not, then there will be a delay. It's really up to you if this possibility bothers you or not.
