Finally! My appointment letter arrived today in the mail. NOAs arrived last week - Thursday and got the appt letter Monday. Sweet!

The appointment is set on August 5. I know its not that far - but I'm thinking to do a walk in at the office.

How would I know if local ASC that I'm assigned to allows walk ins?

Just be nice, polite and natural and show the guard at the door your letter, chances are they will not have an issue and simply allow you in the door and put you on the que list and you wait your turn and your called and done.

The worst that can happen is the security guard at the door will tell you to return on the date scheduled. We did our bio's in Buena Park, California office (on the scheduled date) and I had the chance to speak to both the guard and the lady performing the bio's and ask your questions - they have no problem with early walk-ins as long as they are not too busy HOWEVER, as it was explained to me by the lady taking the bio's, you don't necessarily trim any time off the process because the manner that the bio computer system forwards the information.

Im not so sure about that,

timelines on this forum shows significant trimming in process timing for people who made really early walk-in's(like 3 weeks before appointment date)

I could be wrong though.

7/17/2013 - I-485 status updated to "Testing and Interview".
