Lol - I totally get it... I'm in Windsor, 5 mins from the bridge. I played hockey for years in MI! Ah well!

Still trying to be patient... but it bothers me that there's no rhyme or reason to this process. People who have professed of 'potential hiccups' in their petitions are seemingly getting approved on the fast track. It starts wearing on you after 4 or so months - especially with approval flying around after your NOA1 date!

That's what I thought, too. Most of my friends and relatives can't believe its taking this long to 'check us out'. They know who I am since I cross so often, and know everything about my fiance - he is government employed! What's the hold up?!?! But I guess no preferential treatment for any one country (except those in countries with imminent danger) is probably the best way to keep things fair. I just choose not to like it :P lol...

So what you're saying is we all need to move to third world crisis Countries? Lmao I'm in! I want to know why some people get expedited. Can "I miss him Enough to kill someone" be a good reason? I want mine expedited, I'll pay lol

Stupid process *grumbles*

I wish I knew, too. I know now why so many people try to be shady and circumvent actual processes for fraudulent options... this is just nuts!!! I mean... my fiance and our future is so worth it. But if he didn't have the better career outlook, we'd already be together because he'd already be here in Canada!

Ah well... trying not to get too worked up. I just want this part of the 'approval process' to be over with so we can go forward. We have a wedding date (which is still far enough away to not be of concern - yet!)... and I'd hate to have to switch to the IR1/CR1 route because our petition was tossed in the 'maybe later' pile. Seriously! Why are NOA1 petitions after mine at the same office being approved?!?!?!

That's exactly my problem. Everyone in feb an march and April are getting processed from Vermont and he we are waiting (semi) patiently for our full 5 months and then some and others are waiting 3. I wish I could just go there marry him and work on it from there, but know we went the legal route and suffer for it.
