Like I said, if TM was white, and GZ was black, there is no way in hell you'd see an all black jury. How can we be called equal if we can't be judged by our peers? White people can be impartial, but black people cant?

I know what you saying but prosecution had their chance, they could had selected a different set of ppl if they wanted, they selected the present jury thinking they would be able to sway women vote towards them.

I agree, but as I've pointed out before several times before if you're not squeaky clean and black, it doesn't matter what were doing, you're guilty.

While I understand your outrage over all the racial profiling that goes on in this country, it doesn't mean that GZ should have to go to prison for defending himself because the rest of the country has given black folks a raw deal. It doesn't work that way.

Maybe we should start sacrificing innocent white folks to pay for the mistakes of guilty white folks? I sure hope I'm not one of the ones being sacrificed one day.

BD - The cases are not even close.

Dooley was seeking immunity under SYG while in the case of FLvs GZ that was not the case.

Dooley was sentenced but he is free while he appeals, I am assuming if TM/GZ incident would have not happened chances of him walking away were very high.

Dooley was seeking immunity under Stand your Ground but was denied. Zimmermann never sought that immunity in the first place. They both ended up in front of a 6 person jury. Both had the same self-defense claim available and both pleaded not guilty based on that very self defense claim. These cases are as close as it gets except for the victim in the Dooley/James case not being a minor.

What I said is that Zimmermann never called the police about a suspicious white person in the neighborhood. He called plenty about suspicious black guys. Based on that, I think t is safe to say that if Martin would have been a white teen, Zimmermann would have proceeded to Target and never paid attention to the teen. Martin would be alive. Thus, the main reason that Martin is dead is that he happened to be black.
