You're not alone...Even the [sic] dumbwits at the Merriam-Webster dictionary fail to make the connection....

Coz American Airline and Alcohol Anonymous is being talked about in the thread.

It isn't. But when you use the AA acronym, that's likely what people will first think. Because those are the common uses. You don't see people type AA in reference to African Americans much.

Still # 2 for you.

Maybe u can never understand the context of any post but you still jump in.

Ohh why do you have to go to NY to renew the passport ... duh.!!!!!!!!

I understand the context. You're the one who needed a play by play of a very simple conversation yesterday.

And you're right. I should have known where people from Malaysia go to renew their passports.

I can't believe that knowledge wasn't just sitting in my brain waiting to be used.

I feel so ashamed.

This wasnt even a stand your ground case.

I cant believe how sheeple just gobble up whatever is spoon-fed to them by the media. Think, people! Do you really want less rights when it comes to self defense? Do you want it to be a law you cant fight back and have to rely on the government to keep you safe?

Come on!

Yeah I'm not getting why there's all this talk about stand your ground due to this case, when GZ didn't even use that defense.

Marvin, it seems to me that you're trying to have it both ways. I'm just glad in this case, neither one of those ways came to fruition, because there simply wasn't enough evidence to convict GZ of a crime. The judicial system as it stands worked correctly. There are an awful lot of innocent men in prison, I believe putting another one there would have been the worst case scenario.

Teddy, you believe that he is innocent, and that's your opinion. I don't, and that's mine. There's no shame in that.

My point is that this law doesn't work the same for us as it does for you. I've posted several links where black people have been in better SYG scenarios and been locked up, yet this one is shaky at best in my and almost every other black person in the US opinion and he goes free. I've also posted the graphs that show the disparity between when you kill one of us and we kill one of you. This is why most black people don't like the law.

Look at Michael Dunn for the perfect example. He is trying to claim SYG when he pulled up and asked those boys to turn their music down in a public place. When things got heated, what did he do? He felt like his life was in danger, did he leave? Nope, just pulled out his gun and started shooting. He said there was a shotgun in the car, they can't find one. Another boy is dead for what, playing his music too loud. Where in the white community does this happen?

You see this? This is what we have to deal with. Even throwing his hands up and running got him killed, and he was 13 years old.
