It's a hypothetical question, obviously, since we know how it turned out.

Absolutely.

Nine times out of ten simply saying hello or making some type of verbal contact with a burglar or similar petty criminal is enough to deter the crime. GZ suspected TM was looking for things to steal. Asking him what he was doing would've most likely prevented that crime.

People keep saying "He only got out because he had a gun." For those of us who carry guns daily, there's no increase in motivation to attempt aggressive actions - if anythong there's an element of, "I should be more careful." - because carrying a handgun is defensive in nature. It's not there to do something, it's there in caze something happens.

yes. i also think its probable that the weight of the gun would remind as soon as you started walking....so, yes & no.

When you carry every day, it's no different than your car keys or cell phone. And thats the point. Behavior shouldn't be affected by the presence of a gun.
