Perhaps. When someone draws a gun during a confrontation you can bet things will not end up well. That is how cowards win their argument, and GZ is no exception.

Exactly the point.

If someone pulled a gun on me, I am pretty sure the last thing on my mind would be to beat them up.

I might pee a little and then run away.

That's the usual result. Which is actually a good result when you think of it.

It is also why this comparison that a "gun is more likely to kill you than kill an attacker" is such BS and has been abandoned by anyone with a brain decades ago. It assumes you can only defend yourself with a gun if you KILL someone. Nonsense

The fact is that in the vast majority of cases where a gun is used for self defense, there is no shot fired and no one is hurt. For exactly the reason you cite. Thank you Penny.

A small amount of pee is released and the attacker runs away with nothing more than a minor laundry predicament. Sometimes they pee a lot and stand there until police arrive. By far the most common result of people carrying firearms is a large reduction in the incidence of crime ever happening to begin with. So basically "nothing"

I still believe he did not deserve to get shot and killed even if that were the case.

So what?

What happens if the other guy has a gun? A shoot out? Innocent bystanders might get killed by a stray bullet.

And what?

we should oppress people's rights and curtail a proven crime fighting tool because you can imagine something going wrong? Firearms are used hundresd of thousands of times each year for self defense without a shot being fired. You gonna trade that for your fantasy? Homicides in Chicago are DOWN 37% since concealed carry was implemented, that dozens of lives saved. You going to throw them away? Most of those are young black men, still alive today. Dozens of Trayvons that would be dead without the crime fighting tool of concealed carry

write your congressman or state repesentative with your ideas.

Get out of the car with a 12 ga. shotgun. Any time I suspect a suspicious situation and have the opportunity I would arm myself with a much more effective weapon than a handgun. I seriously doubt TM would attack someone and try the MMA bullshyt when he sees they are carrying a shotgun.

Everyone goes home alive and the situation gets investigated by police.

And you're arrested for brandishing a firearm...lol

Hopefully as stoically as you did the last election results.

Now you are listening to idiots. I voted for the Libertarian, I expected Obama to win.

I have voted for TWO Republicans in my entire life...Ronald Reagan (twice) and Sen. Phil Graham in Tex. Graham was a Democrat when I first voted for him. I voted for Sanders (Socialist) and Leahy in 2010 (Dem). I dont agree with a them on everything but they are both HUGE in bringing jobs and infrastructure to Vermont. We are MUCH better off with Pat Leahy in the Senate than some freshman Republican or Progressive (strong party in Vermont). Leahy IS a big stick. A small state needs a big stick

I am exceedingly liberal in my views...liberal meaning favoring individual freedoms and rights, equal protection for all and respect for personal choices.

I have no f*ckin clue what you are talking about other than repeating someone's unsupported nonsense. Go with it...its working for you.

Better than killing someone. I doubt I would be arrested.

You own "at least 6 guns" and have a concealed carry permit. Sounds pretty wimpy. Or are you lying about the guns and CC permit? Do you have a "big softy" button?

PS I love the "at least 6 guns" quote...can't count to 6 but it looks like about that muchidea9dv.gif

In my opinion any man who can't punch at all and can't fight back unless they have a weapon must wear something to designate themselves as such. This would alert everyone to the fact that this man is to be feared.

Maybe a 5" round Mr. Softy button?

Did you get one to go with your concealed carry license? And SIX (at least!) guns?

Since you don't actually assemble weapons, you wouldn't get it. And yet what you think really weighs on my mind constantly...not! Yet I seem to be on yours...how sweet.

I don't have weapons for the kind of fear based protection you have Gary, but you're still a man...don't worry about that. ;)

I'll send you the link tomorrow to your the post election rant when you began this whole living off the government farce.

That was not a rant. It was a demonstration and mathmatical example of the exact state of our system. It is a fact, not a rant. People not mathmatically dysfunctional understand that.

Do you hate welfare recipients? RWNJs like Mr. Big Dog and Teddy B. do.

If I need you to post any links I will tell you, then you can search with Mr. Big Dog. You won't know I am telling you to do it, but you will do it whenever I want you to.

Did you see the one I pulled the other night? I said some photo of a hot Italian model was Alla and immediately there were like 8 Canadian and Brit chicks and one American searching the internet and posting all sorts of links to prove it was not Alla...they had never posted in that thread before then.dancin5hr.gif The whole CABA wolfpack bounded out of the bushes en mass! laughing.gif I knew they were there all along.

I am aware of exactly what you speak.

RG did not understand the whole thing (big surprise) but if he wants he can scrape a pic of an Italian model off the internet, post it on his avatar and say it is his wife and see what happens....wait....nm. rolleyes.gif

"I have good weapons Gary, they can't hurt anyone and whenever i build them they will look nice and stuff"

I am a lifelong firearms enthuiast, shooter, hunter (used to be hunter) collector, mechanical engineer (yeah not just on the internet, they sent me to Ukraine to build stuff, thats why I was there, well, that and I speak three languages including Russian which came in handy) and firearms historian. I can write in cursive. I am very interested in what you are building. Really.

I shoot in National Match (high power rifle) and skeet competition. Alla shoots in smallbore rifle competition and handgun competition (indoor) I use assault rifles (M1A and AR15) to shoot in National Match because that is what is required to be used and Winchester M12s and a M42 to shoot skeet...wierd I know, I am probably the last guy using M12s and M42 for skeet but I kick @ss with them! I shoot AA in all four gauges (you know what the 4 guages are, right?) and Expert in High Power rifle

I actually understand the full inner workings of firearms, interior and exterior ballistics and regularly shoot at ranges of 600 yards and all that entails. Off the top of my head I can quote you the dimensions of every current and obsolete cartridge made in America. I know, scares me too. I read "Cartridges of the World", 9 editions, WAY too many times. I handload my own ammunition for 81 different cartridges. I make my own cartridge casings for 11 cartridges which are obsolete and no longer available. I have molds to cast lead bullets for every cartridge I load.

I assure you I can assemble firearms. Some while blindfolded.

RG, you really, really do not want to try and BS me on anything related to guns, including assembling them

Seriously,

What are you building?
