since you were there & all. how did the jury reach a NOT GUILTY verdict?

By concluding that the evidence presented by the state did NOT prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmermann did NOT act in self defense. Pretty simple. You should take a look at the jury instructions. But that's not the same as concluding that it has been proven that he did act in self defense.

I don't that anyone who isn't black can truly understand it in this country. And perhaps there are other minorities who have been treated similarly in other countries around the globe. If it's not you or a loved one, it's not quite to same.

This is a line of reasoning that gets a lot of mileage. Of course, there's no way to disprove it, but in the end it's sort of like arguing about whether you and I both perceive the color blue the same way. I can't see blue the way you can see it, but that doesn't mean that your perception of blue is correct.

If he was doing something suspicious enough for me to call the cops on him, I would do so. And not get out of my car.
